We sell items one by one, face to face and have a sincere interest in understanding what our customers are looking for and securing a sale for our consignors.

Reach – Our sales approach is multi-faceted, including brick and mortar sales, e-comm sales, social media exposure, print ad marketing, personal shopping assistance and other community PR events.

Expertise – With a combined 50+ years in design, decorating, marketing, sales and PR, the owners and staff are passionate and knowledgeable about selling and showcasing your items in a beautiful, staged showroom, filled with other upscale curated selections.

Easy and Safe Process – Eliminate the stress and worry of dealing with strangers or handling private advertising.

Generous Term and Split -With a generous 60 day term and 50/50 split on furniture (40 consignor /60 on accessories), once your items sell, checks of $50 or more are conveniently mailed on or around the 15th of the next month past sale date. Simply send photos of the items you wish to consign for approval by texting them to 636-489-1929. 

Consigning with Cocoon is easy! Simply text photos of items you wish to consign for approval to 636-489-1929.  Once approved, we will schedule a time for you to bring your items in, or we would be happy to get you a delivery quote from our 3rd party delivery service.  We will then have you fill out a consignor agreement. Once your items sell, we will conveniently mail you a check (see details in section below).  You may also email photos for approval to

Cocoon will consign items that are in excellent condition, clean, timeless and in demand.  This includes furniture, artwork, mirrors, lamps, rugs, home decor, seasonal and holiday items, dinnerware, limited name-brand china and crystal, jewelry, designer handbags, and more.

Yes, Cocoon works with a 3rd party delivery service and is happy to get you a pickup quote to bring your items to the showroom.

The price of each item is determined solely by Cocoon Home Consignment.  The factors used in pricing items are as follows:

CONDITION - Cocoon inspects every item received and asks that consigned items be in excellent, like-new condition. The better the condition, the higher the item(s) can be priced.

CURRENT DEMAND - Items that are in demand in today's market dictate a higher price regardless of age. Cocoon knows what customers are looking for and we make every effort to only accept your items if we think they will sell for you.  The more in demand a style is, the higher it will be priced.

HISTORY - Cocoon will take into account the age of the item, original price you paid (per receipts provided) and any additional information with regards to appraisals, artists, brands, types of materials/wood, etc.

Cocoon does not negotiate pricing with customers, but does discount items 10% every 25 days in an effort to sell your items prior to the end of your contract.

Cocoon offers a generous 50/50 split on furniture and a 60/40 consignor share on accessories.

Payout checks of $50 or more are conveniently mailed on or after the 15th of the month following the sale of your item(s).  Payouts under $50 will accrue during your 90 day term and will be mailed once your account reaches $50.

Cocoon's goal is to accept items that we strongly feel will sell in today's market, however, sometimes things do not sell.  You are welcome to pick up any unsold items that are expiring within 2 days following your expiration date.

Due to the high number of consignors that Cocoon does business with and the amount of items in the showroom, it is not possible for Cocoon to contact you regarding items that are expiring.  Cocoon highly encourages you to mark your calendar and stay in touch with us.

Your items will be staged in beautiful vignettes in the showroom to inspire your buyer! Cocoon's experienced designers and staff offer complimentary design advice and are able to help customers find that perfect piece. In addition, Cocoon markets your items on various social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, utilizes email marketing, and showcases many items on its' beautiful website.

Once your items have been listed for sale with Cocoon, items are not able to be retrieved until the contract expiration.  Many customers have items placed on 24 hour holds, in addition to their time spent measuring and shopping for that perfect piece.  Time has also been taken to tag and market your items. We appreciate your understanding.

Cocoon does not accept the following items:

•Lamps without shades or shades that are yellow, dingy, unglued or old, lamps with wiring issues, missing parts such as finials or harps, lamps that do not work and/or do not have a bulb.

•Armoires and entertainment units that cannot hold a 50" TV.

•Sets of china, silverplated items and silverware  (with very rare exceptions).

•Glassware and dishware.

•Upholstered pieces with dated patterns/colors, sun damage, odors, fraying, rips, stains, worn cushions or 7+ years old (with rare exceptions).

•Art that is dated in color/style or valued under $50 in today's market.

•Glass top dining tables (excluding dinette and patio tables.) Rare exceptions.

•Rugs unless in absolutely perfect, clean, pet free, odor free condition.  No disintegrating backing, fraying, rips, tears, stains or odors.

•Drapes, curtains, blankets, bedding or mattresses.

•Electronics, including record players.

•Waterbeds, toddler beds, bunk beds, cribs.

•Home Decor valued in today's market under $30.

•Dated furniture and decor that is not in current style or demand.

•Furniture that is made of particle board.

•Any items that are broken, in need of repair, have been repaired, need cleaning, dusting, have stains, are missing parts or pieces, are cracked, chipped, have rust or tarnish, or are wobbly or unsteady, ripped or stained.

•Other Miscellaneous: candles, collectibles such as Precious Moments, roll top desks, Asian items, teapots, stuffed animals, dolls, napkin rings, single sconces, off season items, textiles, single lampshades, trashcans, bathroom accessories, antique books, pillows with rare exceptions.

COCOON carries general liability insurance & coverage for its business property.  Because your consigned items are owned by you until they sell or are picked up from the showroom, you might consider covering your items, especially items of high value, under your  home-owners/renters insurance policy.  COCOON can not be held responsible for any damage, breakage, loss by fire, water, theft or other casualty.

All items must be pre-approved.  When you bring your items in, please take any packaging, boxes, item boxes or containers that you wish to keep, as we cannot display items with their boxes and do not have a storage area for them. Thank you!
